The Opening Extravaganza is TONIGHT, 6 PM-2 AM at Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge. 42nd St. by 12th Avenue. A Professional Auction of HK: ArtiST member works, VIP list collectors, buyers, designers, the artists/art, all sorts of shows, music, body painting, raffle, other surprises. This is a surprisingly sophisticated/high rent locale, so much going on you may not get to the free bowling! Bring any # of guests, especially artists. Walking tour Sat/Sun 12-6 PM, some later!
After party at Perdition, 10th Avenue 48/49th St. ’till 4 AM. Saturday much gratis local cuisine/buffet, drinks, more shows, 3 rooms + a garden at Clinton Housing, 6-12 Midnight, 300 West 46th Street. Midnight-4 AM is Hourglass Tavern, 3 Floors, VIP on top, Window + 3 Fl. shows. Sunday Fusion Lounge, 818 10th Ave 54/55th St., DJ/Dance Heavy, Canopied back porch. 11:30-4 AM, Bar Nine, Stage Shows, sensual back/Banquet areas. THROUGHOUT: Group Openings such as 2 from Int’l Woman’s Artist Salon, 315 W 39th & Oasis Graden just West of 10th (’til dusk). Tobacco Road, 41st East of 9th Avenue, Music & drama galore. SO much more. Interactive art/jam studios, galleries, public spectacle: & we can use 1 more piece of help! Material provided, is a tour of Hell’s Kitchen Charms! IFyou have not been able to hang your work yet in businesses: call & make sure they know you must do it now, find out WAY to be done, tell them the TIMES you are available to do it, make sure you get it done, keep calling AND leave messages. Even if it is as late as ON the weekend, it is OK: most of the work can stay up somewhat longer than the festival, but we must get it up during the festival! Lastly: you MUST see how well wrought & charming are the giant postcards & maps. All festival info therein.
