| Our remarkable new arts & cultural magazine, “At the Edge“, is coming out a few days after the Festival. With artist’s picnic in Central Park to follow, & a Magazine Launch party in Brooklyn for all later this summer. We were swamped with submissions, many really fine. there were some hard choices, even expanding to 128 full color pages. Everyone will be featured online, that issue available within a couple of days. This will be separately incorporated & a semi annual issue, all participants will receive a copy. Distribution will be a blast, & we already have some significant interest in the art world, & many Midtown West cultural leaders & art institution owners have written for us, & the art is eclectic & very well done.
Help us promote the festival & yourself perhaps! Want to bring in folks through engaging tourists & natives? Get some great marketing materials for your fans, collectors, &/or friends? Including our 1000′s of maps &/or our 25,000 mostly (80%) huge 2 sided postcards, & know the joy of giving something both really worthwhile & free! Later these will be coveted collector’s Items & may be sold.
Come attend our last meeting-really a greet us ‘n get maps, balloons,building posters for your &/or other venues like restaurants we need your help on! This Thursday, in front of the Renaissance restaurant, one of our live painting locales. 776 9th Avenue, just south of 52nd Street. That night & Friday we need you to just help give out &/or hang some things to a few places!
Physical maps will be available Thursday to pick up there & at 3 major venues: Tobacco Road, a major performance packed spot each festival afternoon (Manager toured w/Gladys Knight & the Pips for years, playing for us) at 41st Street just East of 9th Avenue. Our beloved Fountain Gallery, 702 9th Avenue @ 48th Street, & Bocca di Bacco, 828 9th Avenue, 54-55th St. Covers of magazine printed as a poster on 1 side, these will be printed on 60, 80 & 100 lb. cover/card stock paper!
Finally: invite as many friends as you like to all events, especially the group shows & 6 parties! Take a moment & promote us/lift all our fortunes on each of your Social Media: Web, facebook, twitter, tumblr, flickr, linkedIn, foursquare-whatever you use. Just send a couple of blasts in each forum you use, ask others in these posts to do the same, especially to come celebrate with & for the artists! Leave details of where & when to go!
