The 4th Annual Free Hell’s Kitchen Artists in Studio Tours Festival (HK: ArtiST ’12) is scheduled for May 18-20th. We are now accepting registrations for exhibiting art, & performances of all genres. Our map permits a self guided art walk; those without homes or studios in the area will again be able to exhibit in local venues or group shows-sometimes for week or months after the weekend! There will be parties over 3 nights asyour main performance venues. Last year’s event had 95 venues with 6 parties enjoyed by our artists, entertainers & the public!
Current available opportunities:
B) Submit art, cultural & literary material for “At The Edge” Magazine, ALSO at ArtistsintheKitchen.org. Send personal, NYC & other stories, non-fiction, art, poetry, photography, reviews, creative epiphanies, comics, well wrought idea(l)s & lived wisdom.
C) Interested in working with a great & diverse group in many areas, including ad & magazine sales opportunities? Join us in volunteering & for great sales/$ making opportunities. Just write us at ArtistsintheKitchen.org/volunteers.
No Festival participant pays more than $25. unless you choose to donate more. We only seek to break even. This includes a year membership in HKAA/HKAG, + a free copy of “At The Edge”. Any sales proceeds from art or creative products are kept by the artist. We have rejected calls to charge for art or writing sent to OR published by “At The Edge”. Though to use at all in PRINT, not just the next expanded online edition, images must be 300 DPI resolution or higher-otherwise they are a blur!
We have received a great deal of fantastic content. Our preference is in depth writing, the well rendered, personal, visionary, surreal and/or detailed work. Please, as our hard working volunteer editors insist: no “thinly veiled advertisements” or “insane ramblings”!
Kindly consider that a well crafted, proofread & edited document will have a higher likelihood of being published!

Below is some more information regarding our specific needs, benefits & opportunities:
b A) Director of many Departments & Editor positions available, & the rewards will include big ads we will run (& design whenever preferred) for whatever product or service you create or sell in “At The Edge”. These areas include:
c B) Magazine & Advertising Sales: helping with a formal distribution & sales, online & at alternative physical locales. Largely for the purpose of attracting more Corporate advertising. You will find no higher commissions, up to 30%-33.3%, using the above & soon to be updated sales tools. The prospects for growth & success of a publication that spins off from a successful grassroots arts festival in the center of the greatest international art center is nearly unlimited.
d C) Energetic assistance & inquiries in the areas of: P.R./Marketing, Social Media, Party/Special Event planning, Graphic Design, Artist Liaisons, attracting patrons for the publication (with monetary benefit/incentives), organizing volunteers, Film & Video, Street/tourism outreach, helping attract cultural venues & exhibit space, & crucial is assistance with Social Media & Magazine/document editing!
